Acupressure is part of the Chinese medical system which uses gentle to firm pressure to press points, which lay along channels throughout the body. It can help to stimulate energy flow, release tension, and bring overall balance and harmony to the client. Acupressure, when used on its own, is performed clothed but can be blended in to any other massage.

Deep Tissue/Trigger Point uses a clinical view in order to help with pain management, musculoskeletal discomfort, and injuries. This form includes using techniques such as trigger point release, transverse and longitudinal friction, myofascial release, and active stretching. Athletic and non-athletic clients will be assisted in maintaining their peak performance and lessening their pain and discomfort. Sessions will forego a full body massage in order to address specific areas in greater depth.

Essential Oils can be blended in to any oil massage. Specific blends can also be personally created to fit your needs in the form of bathsalts, facial sprays, house sprays, body oils, and perfumes. The use of essential oils (extracted from flowers, bark, roots, stems),can be beneficial when working with physical, emotional, and/or spiritual issues.

Reiki is an ancient system of natural healing using the “Universal Life Force” to promote healing. A session includes a series of non-pressure hand positions in a pattern that will help to promote optimum energy flow and balance. Reiki can be calming, nurturing and non-demanding; it can help reduce stress, balance emotions, relieve physical pain, and promote spiritual awareness. A full session is performed clothed or it can be blended in to any other massage.

Reflexology is an ancient Chinese therapy, which involves using traditional techniques such as zone therapy and pressure points on the feet and hands to balance the entire body through these specialized areas. This can be performed on its own or integrated in to any other massage.

Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese style of massage, performed on a mat on the floor with the client clothed in loose comfortable clothing. The energy meridians are manipulated by using thumbs, fingers, forearms, elbows, and feet on these channels. Stretching, deep pressure, and line work help to move stagnant energy, increase range of motion, and leave the client energized.

Sports massage can be beneficial for athletes pre or post race. It can also aid in overall maitenance and training. It addresses overuse areas incorporating sweeping strokes, stretching, and trigger point to maintain performance.

Swedish is an oil massage, performed on the table. It allows for a deeply relaxing massage. This is non-clinical, using techniques such as sweeping strokes, kneading, friction, and range of motion stretches using light to medium pressure. It is highly beneficial for improving circulation, easing tension, and soothing the mind. This can be integrated in to a more therapeutic massage by giving extra attention to specific problem areas.

Thai Massage was created in India 2500 years ago by the physician to the Buddha. This form uses stretching, compressions, rhythm, and joint mobilization to enhance the flow of energy, increase flexibility, strength, and range of motion. It is known as the “lazyman’s yoga”, moving the client through a variety of postures. It is performed on a mat on the floor with the receiver wearing comfortable clothing.
